Porch and paint!

External developments

Things are evolving quickly on the outside as the hot weather starts to back off. Just in time, I'm guessing.

Steps and railing taking shape out front:

The back deck is nearly complete!

We have deck!

Inside is largely covered and masked for painting to come, but in the back yard we have substantial deck beginnings! It's likely to be done by weeks end. 

The week ahead

Today should see the beginning of the back deck and front porch stairs/rails, as well as prep for painting inside and finishing all the tile work. Appliances are also confirmed as arriving on Friday the 5th.

Shift in floor timing

Got a note from our interiors lead that they have elected to move floors BEHIND painting since painting involves a lot of sanding and that fine dust finds its way into nooks and crannies on dark floors. HOWEVER, our kitchen slab goes in today so we should have that to look at this weekend, and once the interiors are painted the flooring goes in.
